Sports Therapies

Golf Specific Sports Therapies will assess your current level of mobility and stability to determine the best course of treatment and plan to achive your goals. Maybe all you need to relieve your discomfort, and improve your game is a slight swing change, or it could be a balance issue. It's possible you simply need some hands-on manual therapy to regain your range of motion. Maybe a combination of these treatments is all that's needed.

(STR)
Soft Tissue Release
is a specific neuromuscular therapy that addresses muscular imbalances, that can lead to overuse injuries, (i.e. tendinitis, shin splints, nerve impingement.)
Originally developed to treat some of the world’s fastest Olympic sprinters, STR is a method of applying pressure to a muscle at the same time the muscle is being stretched, accelerating the healing of muscular injuries by breaking up scar tissue, differentiating muscle groups, and flooding areas with much needed blood and oxygen which results in quickly eliminating chronic pain.

(Rolfing)

A Rolfing 10 series is a holistic system of soft tissue manipulation and movement education which releases chronic stress and tension patterns and restores the body to its healthiest and most efficient alignment. We accomplish this by working first with superficial tissue, then the deep tissue.
Each session (sessions 1-3 for the superficial work, then 4-10 for deep postural work) allows access to different layers of the body and the ability to re-establish the most appropriate length and resilience in your connective tissue, (muscles, ligaments, tendons, etc.)

(AIS)

Active Isolated Stretching  is a method of muscle therapy and fascial release. This type of Athletic Stretching Technique provides effective, dynamic, facilitated stretching of major muscle groups. AIS provides functional and physiological restoration of superficial and deep fascial planes.
